Description

Cedar Tree House is an 18th and 19th century house on Greywell Street, Greywell. It is a symmetrical building with a front facade of three windows, spanning three storeys, with a later addition of a second floor. The red tile roof features a dormer effect created by a central hipped roof over a bay window and gables with decorative bargeboards, with tile hanging within. The stucco walling incorporates plain end pilasters tied with a first-floor band and a plinth. Stone sills are present. Windows are sash windows in reveals, with second-floor casements; the central window is a large projecting bay supported by three carved brackets. A Tuscan porch of two columns and two pilasters, with an entablature featuring simple mouldings, and a reeded architrave to the doorway, provides access via a six-panelled door (the top panels are glazed), approached by stone steps.
