Description
Hatch House is a building dating from around 1840, featuring two storeys and a symmetrical east front with a layout of 1:3:1:3:1 windows, which includes two angular bays. The roof is hipped and covered with slate. The walls are finished in stucco, with a low parapet above a moulded cornice that has a deep fillet, a projecting band at the first floor, stone cills, and a plinth. The windows are sashes set in reveals. The south front has three windows, with two on the ground floor set in shallow square solid bays. On the west side, there is a doorcase that includes a segmental pediment, a pilaster order, a round-headed opening, and a six-panelled door. The property is enclosed by a high red brick wall with large gate-piers that have moulded stone caps topped with ball finials.
