Description

York House is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys high with a basement and features three windows. It has a slate hipped roof and is constructed of stucco, which includes a thin projecting band below the eaves, a first-floor band, end pilasters, and stone cills. The windows are sashes set in reveals, with two of them being older. The doorcase is notable for its segmental pediment and Tuscan columns, featuring a round-headed opening with panelled reveals and a six-panelled door, all above two steps. Additionally, there is a later French door that is topped with a gabled canopy.
