Description

Garden Cottage is a house dating to the 17th century, with later additions in the late 18th century. It is two storeys high and has a two-window front. The roof is tiled, with a half-hip to the later, taller section; the older section has a corrugated iron roof. The eaves are brick with dentil details. The north side of the building is timber-framed and brick nogged. The remainder of the walls are red brick in a Flemish bond pattern with flat arches. Most windows are casements; some sash windows are set in exposed frames. A later porch has been added.
