Description

This 18th-century mill is a rectangular block, incorporating an eastern extension. The north front has a two-storeyed elevation with an upper door flanked by windows at two levels. The roof is a mansard style, covered in red tiles, and a restoration project was undertaken. The walls are red brick in English bond, featuring cambered openings, some of which are now blocked, and a plinth. Two mill races with outlets are located on the north side, beyond a roadway, and are protected by a brick parapet wall. Inside, original timbers have been reused to create a gallery. One of the original six water wheels remains, housed within a cast iron frame.
