Description

Potbridge Farm House is a 17th-century and early 18th-century timber-framed building with a brick wing added later. The house is T-shaped, with a 2-story main section and a 3-story brick wing with a cellar extending to the north. A single-story outshot is located to the south. The roof is tiled, with a half-hip at the south end and gables to the north wing, featuring brick dentil verges. A substantial shafted stack is positioned above a large interior chimney breast. The timber frame is exposed with braces and brick infill. The north wing has brick walling in English bond, marked by projecting bands at the first and second floors, as well as rubbed flat arches and a high plinth. There is one original leaded casement window; the others have been replaced. An old porch is on the west side with a sealed entrance, alongside a more modern, open-gabled porch on the east side. Plain doors are located on the south side of the building.
