Description

Thames Dell is a house dating from the 17th century, with later alterations in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. It is two storeys and has an attic, with two gables facing east. The house comprises several phases of construction; the oldest part is timber-framed, and a larger block was added in the later period. The roof is tiled, with a shafted stack, and slate of a lower pitch over the later block. The older section has rendered walls, a plinth, and old windows, while the newer section is painted brick with Dutch flat arches and a cement plinth. Casement windows are present throughout. A wide brick porch with rusticated quoins is attached to the front. Modern extensions have been added.
