Description

Nos 7 and 9 West End are a pair of symmetrical cottages dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. They are one storey with an attic and feature four windows. The cottages have a tiled roof that is half-hipped and includes 'eyebrows' (which were formerly thatched) along with a large central chimney stack. The walls are roughcast over chalk, with exposed forming around the upper windows, and the window sills are level with the eaves. The cottages have modern casement windows. There are two brick porches with tiled roofs and gabled fronts, located on the side walls, which feature rusticated quoin treatment both inside and out.
