Description

Monckton House is a mid-19th century late Regency villa located on Crescent Road. The building is two storeys high with an attic and basement, topped by a slate hipped roof. The west front features a heavy modillion cornice, first floor bands, and a rusticated ground floor, along with a massive central porch supported by coupled pilasters. The south front is simpler, consisting of three windows. The villa has sash windows and prominent chimneys.
