Description

Nos 6 and 6A on Church Road is a building that likely began as an 18th-century house but features were added in the mid-19th century. Originally known as the Five Bells Public House, this two-storey structure now serves as a shop. It has a hipped red tile roof and painted stucco walls, which include a parapet and cornice. The first floor has cambered window heads on either side of a central round arched recess that once displayed an inn sign. The ground floor features a slightly projecting frame with a cornice, a frieze that leads into pilasters, cambered window openings with recessed treatments, a plinth, and a recessed central doorway.
