Description
35 North Street, formerly known as the Six Bells Public House, is an 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall. It is constructed of painted brick and features modern tiles on the roof, along with two chimneys. The building has rendered plinths and a band that continues along the first-floor cills. A coved cornice adds to its architectural detail.
There are three windows with flat brick arches and stucco keystones, all fitted with double hung sashes. The entrance includes a four-panel door set beneath a flat arch and a plain hood. The ground floor has modern public house windows, also with flat arches. The rear of the building is finished with pantiles.
To the right, there is an elliptical carriage arch with stone impost bands and a keystone. This building, along with Nos 29 to 33, forms a group of significant structures on North Street.
