Description

This is an 18th-century building that was substantially refronted in the early 19th century. The front is faced with stucco, designed to resemble cut stone, with a decorative band running along the sill level of the first floor. The roof is tiled, featuring a substantial central chimney stack. The building is two storeys high and has two windows. These windows have modern casements, but retain the original window frames. The ground floor lintels are decorated with masks. Numbers 49 to 53 (odd), and 57 to 73 (odd), together with numbers 36 to 44 (even), form a notable group, with numbers 42 and 44, 53, 57 and 73 being of local interest.
