Description

Vicar's Hill, located at No 47 High Street in Fareham, is an early 19th-century building featuring a stuccoed facade and a string course at the first floor. It has a hipped slate roof and stands two storeys tall, with three sash windows that include glazing bars. The building has round arched doorways that are recessed, each with a semi-circular fanlight and a door made up of six fielded panels. The front of the building is partly hidden by a wall, behind which there are modern additions. Vicar's Hill is part of a group of listed buildings on High Street and Union Street, which includes listed street lamps, Nos 1 and 2, the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul, the Red Lion Hotel, and No 10 East Street. No 45 High Street is noted for its local interest.
