Description

This is an 18th century or earlier cottage situated facing the churchyard. The ground floor is constructed of tarred brick, while the first floor is weatherboarded. The roof is tiled and partially hipped. The cottage has two storeys and features four windows; the windows are unbarred sashes and casements, although all ground floor windows except one have been bricked up. Numbers 2 and 4 Church Place, along with the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul form a group, harmonising with the listed buildings along High Street and Union Street. This group is further related to the Red Lion Hotel and Number 10 East Street.
