Description
Nos 7 to 19, including the former malthouse adjacent to No 13, are a terraced row of small houses located on Mill Street in Titchfield. These buildings date from the 18th century to early 19th century, with Nos 11 and 13 said to have some internal timber framing. The first part of the terrace, Nos 7 to 13, is constructed of grey brick with grey headers and features a modillion eaves cornice and a tiled roof. No 13, situated in the center, has a gable that contains an attic window. The row is two storeys high and has seven windows. The houses from Nos 7 to 13 have sash windows with glazing bars, while No 13, which was formerly a malthouse, includes a hoist over the loft door and a shuttered window on the first floor. It also has an additional ground floor door and a round arched window with a shuttered fanlight above, featuring Gothick glazing bars. Nos 15 to 19 have casement windows with glazing bars. The doorways are framed with moulded architraves and have flat hoods supported by brackets, although No 19 now features a reproduction pediment. This group of buildings, Nos 1 to 19, forms a cohesive architectural ensemble with Nos 2 and 12.
