Description
Nos 13A to 27 on Pound Street is an early 19th-century terrace of cottages built before 1837. The buildings are two storeys high and feature dormers, with one window each. They have mansard slate roofs with half-hipped gables and brick ridge stacks. The cottages are constructed from vitrified brick, with Nos 13A and 15 showcasing small wooden cornices. The dormers have casement windows with raking roofs, while the recessed sash windows are topped with segmental-arched stucco heads and glazing bars. Each house has a round-arched doorway with a blind radial fanlight and a panelled door. These cottages are notable for their extensive use of vitrified brick at this time.
