Description
The Garden House is a late 18th-century house that has been altered. It has an L-shaped plan and stands at 2½ storeys tall, featuring a gabled one-window front to the rear. There is a lower two-storey range at the back. The roof is tiled, with a tile-hung gable. The building is constructed of red and grey brick, with a moulded brick eaves cornice and a plain band at the first-floor level, as well as a plinth. The rear range has a brick dentil eaves cornice. The recessed sash windows, which have glazing bars, are topped with gauged flat red brick arches. On the west return, there is a flush framed sash window on the first floor with exposed boxing and glazing bars. The entrance is located on the return and features a panelled door. There is a 19th-century extension to the west that includes a modern glazed verandah.
