Description
This is an 18th-century terrace of six cottages, numbered 7 to 13, on East Street in Titchfield. The buildings are constructed of red brick with grey brick headers and have old tiled roofs. Brick stacks are located centrally and at the rear. The terrace is two storeys high and has a symmetrical facade with four windows in total. Most windows are 2-light casements with glazing bars, while the ground floor windows have cambered heads. Number 13, however, features a larger first-floor window and modern glazing on the ground floor. The doors are originally framed by architraves and flat hoods, but the doors at number 13 have been replaced with modern doors. The terrace forms a group with several other buildings nearby, including numbers 3 to 39 (odd), Old Clarendon House, numbers 2, 6, and 8, numbers 14 to 18 (even), numbers 22 to 26 (even), Rockstone House, numbers 5 to 11 (odd), The Old Lodge, and Old Lodge Cottage on High Street. These buildings are recognized as being of local interest.
