Description

Reef Cottage is an early 19th-century building located on Castle Street in Portchester. It features a painted brick facade and a hipped roof covered with modern pantiles. The cottage has two storeys and includes a 19th-century bay that extends the full height of the house, topped with a cornice. There is a smaller sash window with late 19th-century glazing above arched carriageway doors, as well as a similar sash window on the south side of the facade. The round arched doorway has impost bands and a fanlight, with a six-panel door where the top four panels are now glazed. Reef Cottage, along with Nos 67 to 73 (odd) and No 81, forms a group with Nos 94 to 100 (even).
