Nos 8 and 8A on High Street is an 18th-century building that has been converted into two shops. The structure is made of red brick, with the southern facade featuring slate hanging. It has a brick cornice with modillions and a parapet. The windows are sash style, with late 19th-century glazing and stuccoed lintels. The shop windows are reproductions of early 19th-century designs.
