Description
No 7 High Street is a large 18th-century house that has been converted into offices. The building is constructed of red brick and features a stuccoed string course above the ground floor. It has a brick modillion cornice and a coped parapet, although the roof is not visible. The house stands three storeys tall and has six sash windows with glazing bars, each topped with rubbed, red brick gauged arches. The entranceway is distinguished by pilasters, a pediment, and a door with eight fielded panels. This building is part of a group that includes all the listed buildings on High Street and Union Street, the listed street lamps, Nos 1 and 2, the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul, the Red Lion Hotel, and No 10 East Street.
