Description
The Little House at The Old Rectory, formerly known as Maske or Marks Farm, dates from the 18th century. It is a two and three-storey building with three windows on the front and a large gabled central unit flanked by lower wings that are not quite symmetrical. The roof is covered with red tiles and features two massive chimney stacks on the south side of the central unit. The lower south wing has a hipped end, while the north wing has coupled gables and an outshot. The walls are constructed in Flemish bond brickwork with blue headers, with part of the north wing painted white and part of the rear tile-hung. The building has cambered arches and a plinth, with sash windows in exposed frames. There is a simple doorway supported by two columns to the north of the central unit. The rear elevation mirrors the front but includes a modern block on the north wing, resulting in a second gable.
