Description

Number 23 Market Street is an 18th-century building with an altered facade, originally constructed as a timber-framed structure. It is two storeys high with an attic, and originally comprised two bays. The front is stuccoed and has an old tile roof. The ground floor now has a modern shop front. The first floor has two flush-framed sash windows. The gable features coping stones and includes a modern casement window above an incised trefoil design. Number 23, together with numbers 19 and 21, and numbers 25, 25A, 27, the 'King's Head' Public House, and number 29, form a notable group.
