Description
29 Market Street is an 18th-century building that stands two storeys high and features a single bay with a canted corner bay. The exterior is stuccoed and topped with an old tile roof. The ground floor has modern shop fronts, while a moulded band runs along the first floor. The first floor includes one broad flush casement window and is adorned with a dentilled eaves cornice.
The building also has a return on Amery Street, which is one bay wide and includes a lower, two-bay extension. This section is constructed of colour-washed brick and also features an old tiled roof. On the left side, there is a door and a recessed sash window, with another recessed sash window on the first floor. On the right side, there is a blank window with a single recessed sash window above it.
29 Market Street is part of a group that includes Nos 19 and 21, as well as Nos 23, 25, 25A, 27, and the King's Head Public House.
