Description

The Town Hall, located in Market Square, was built in 1813 with funding from public subscription and enlarged in 1840 and later. This building has two storeys and features five bays. It is constructed of colour-washed brick with a slate roof. The ground floor includes some segment-headed blank arches and modern shop fronts on the north side. There is a band at the first floor level, which has five recessed sash windows. On the south side, there is a doorcase with scrolly brackets and irregular window arrangements.
