Description

Riverside is a house that dates from the 17th century, with later alterations in the late 18th and late 19th centuries. Originally of timber-framed construction, it has been reclad in stone and tile. The front, facing southwest, features a Victorian design that is symmetrical with two storeys and two windows. The roof is half-hipped on the north side and hipped on the south, with gables above the upper windows. The walls are rendered and include a plinth. The windows are casements, with two rectangular bays connected by a tiled canopy, and there is a plain door. The southeast elevation has stone walls with brick quoins and a plinth, indicating changes to the original features. This side has two above one casements and a boarded door beneath a canopy. The roof here is also half-hipped on the northeast side, with a catslide at the rear.
