Description

The Forge is a late 17th-century house, located on Passfield Road in Bramshott and Liphook. It has a later 20th-century extension and alteration. The walls are of ironstone with brick quoins, a first-floor band, and a stepped plinth band. The roof is tiled, with a hip at the north end, linked to a lower 20th-century unit. The south-east front has two storeys and two windows above three, with the single-storeyed north extension projecting forward to the road. It features casement windows, two with widened openings, and a four-panelled door. A stone plaque is inscribed with the date 1602, and a lead Sun fire-insurance sign is present. The extension echoes the original in form and materials.
