Description
The entrance gateway, located 400 metres south of Downlands, dates from the mid-19th century. It features two main piers connected by low, curving walls to outer piers of the same design. The gateway is constructed of red brick in English bond, with a plain stepped base and a moulded stone cornice topped by a stucco vase. Wrought-iron gates are present, along with plain rails above the flanking brick walls.
