Description
Adams Cottage is a house dating back to the 16th century, with later additions from the late 19th century. The north elevation features exposed timber framing and brick and rubble infilling on a stone base; other walls are of ironstone with brick dressings, and the east side is an outshot with boarded cladding. The roof is tiled, with a hipped design at the east end, a low eavesline above the outshot, and a gable at the west end. The house is timber-framed, with a 19th-century west extension. It is two storeys high and has an irregular arrangement of windows, which are casements. There are two simple doorways on the north side, both with boarded doors. One doorway is sheltered by a small tiled hood supported by brackets. The west gable has a ground-floor bay with a tiled roof.
