No. 4 High Street is a mid-18th century facade attached to an earlier building. It has two storeys and is six bays wide, constructed of brick with a tiled roof. The ground floor features a central recessed door, which is accessed by four stone steps with wrought-iron railings. This door is set within a pedimented doorcase and is flanked by two flush windows on each side. All the windows are segment-headed and have rubbed brick heads and jambs. The building is topped with a moulded cornice and a parapet. No. 4 High Street is part of a group that includes The Crown Hotel and Nos 4 to 10 (even) as well as No. 1 on the opposite side of the street.
