This is a 17th-century building, altered later. It is two storeys high with an attic, and five bays wide. The front is rendered, with brick side walls and tile-hung gables; the roof is tiled. The ground floor features an asymmetrical porch dating to the late 18th century, along with four flush sash windows. A moulded string course runs along the first-floor level. The first floor has five flush sash windows, all complete with glazing bars. There is a bracketted eaves cornice. The building forms a group with the Crown Hotel and numbers 4 to 10 (even) on the opposite side of the High Street.
