Description

This is a late 17th-century building on Normandy Street. It is two storeys plus an attic, with a five-bay facade. The front is constructed of painted brick, topped with an old tile roof that is half-hipped at the rear. The ground floor features a modern shop front. A moulded band runs along the first-floor level. The first floor has five blocked windows; the central window is distinguished by a moulded edge and may have always been blank. A moulded eaves cornice is present. Two dormer windows are visible in the roof. At the rear is a lower block with a timber frame and brick infill, having a half-hipped tile roof. A casement window is situated at ground floor level on the rear elevation.
