Description

The war memorial, located immediately north of the Assembly Rooms in Alton, is a First World War memorial dating from around 1920. It is constructed from granite rubble and is designed in the shape of a beehive, resembling a drystone cairn. On the front of the memorial, there is a bronze inscription panel that lists the names of those who died in both world wars.
