Large house. Early C18, with restoration and extensions of the early C20. Brick and stone walls, with a hipped tile roof. The L-shaped house is mainly of the second period, but the east wall is the original Queen Anne front, of 2 storeys and attic, 10 windows. Walls of Flemish bond, with rubbed flat arches, and deep stone plinth with aplain moulding : small projecting of the entrance bay. Sashes (C20) with 2 old leaded mullion and transome lights. The ½-glazed door has a large moulded canopy, now supported on slender (early C19) columns. The south elevation (early C20) has 5 windows, hipped roof with 3 flat-roofed dormers, tile-hung upper floor, brick ground-floor/sashes. At the rear (the inner part of the angle) the wall behind the east front is of rough ashlar with brick dressings, and tile-hung upper part, the other walling (early C20) generally following the style : sashes.
