Description
Hartley Park Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 18th century. It features malmstone ashlar walls with brick quoins and has cambered and Dutch flat arches, along with a plinth band. The building shows some altered features, including a former central doorway that has been converted into a window. The roof is tiled and hipped at the north end, with a catslide at the rear and one flat-roofed dormer.
The house is L-shaped with an addition on the north side. The original front, facing east, is symmetrical and consists of two storeys and an attic, with three windows and an additional bay on the north side. The windows are sashes in exposed frames, with three on the ground floor. There is a six-panelled door set within a thin architrave and topped by a moulded canopy.
The north elevation has two storeys and a cellar, featuring three windows with hipped roofing. It also has malmstone ashlar walls with flat-oval arches that include keys, and sashes in exposed frames, again with three on the ground floor. A window has been placed in the former doorway. In the angle of the building, the features are similar, including a boarded door beneath a tiled canopy.
