Description
The Old Forge is a house dating from the early 19th century, with some 20th-century extensions. It is constructed of brick and tile. The front, which faces south, was originally symmetrical and features two storeys with three windows, though there is now an east side extension that includes one wider window, designed to match the original style. The roof is plain, and the walls are built in Flemish bond with blue headers. The ground floor openings are cambered, and there is a plinth with stone cills. The windows are cast-iron diamond casements. A gabled brick porch with a 'Tudor' arch leads to a boarded door.
