Description

Honeycombe Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage, with 20th-century restoration and an extension. It is located in Shalden. The cottage is constructed of brick walls in a Flemish bond pattern, with a tiled roof. The main part of the cottage is one storey and attic, with a two-window frontage and four windows overall. The roof is half-hipped, featuring a catslide at the rear, and 20th-century hipped dormers. The west gable has exposed framing. Casement windows are present. A plain doorway is also visible. A lower 20th-century wing at the rear now serves as the main entrance. The cottage is included on the list for its group value.
