Description

The Thatched Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that has been restored. It features a timber frame and a thatched roof, with one storey and an attic, and has two dormer windows above three others. The roof is ripped and has low eaves above outshots at each end, with a central stack that has been shafted. The walls show exposed framing at the rear and ends, with brick infill, while the front, facing southeast, is constructed of brickwork in English bond, with several later patches. The cottage has 20th-century casement windows, a boarded door in a plain frame, and a French window on the east side.
