Description
Old Jay's Farmhouse is a 17th and 18th century building that features one storey and an attic. It has a long, narrow shape with a thatched roof that is hipped at the north end and half-hipped at the south. The house includes eyebrow attic windows, with four on the west side and three on the east. The timber framing is exposed in the upper parts of the south gables and the north side of the east walls, which have painted brick infill and other types of walling. The east elevation has casement windows with old upper lights. There is a modern porch with a hipped tile roof that encloses a solid door frame and a boarded door. Additionally, there is a modern ground floor extension that runs along most of the west elevation.
