Description
The Cottage is a building dating from the 18th century to the early 19th century. It features a symmetrical front on the south-west side, consisting of two storeys and three windows, with a modern extension at the south-east end. The roof is tiled, half-hipped at the north-west end and above a rear wing, and gabled at the south-east. A large chimney stack is present, with a plaque dated 1719. The walls are made of flint, accented with red brick flush dressings, including quoins, bands at the eaves, an upper cill, a projecting first-floor cill, a lower cill, and a plinth. The windows are sashes of a later date set in altered brickwork frames. The entrance features a six-panelled door within an architrave, topped with a hood supported by carved brackets.
