Description

Townsend Cottage is a mid-19th century dwelling, originally two cottages that have now been combined into one. It has an L-shaped layout and two and a half storeys, with a two-window frontage to the south. The roof is tiled, with half-dormer gables. A substantial brick stack features four diagonal flues. The walls are red brick, with a Flemish bond pattern. The ground floor windows are cambered, and the windows are casement type. There are two gabled porches.
