Description
The Mill at Falkland Farm is an 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall with an attic and features two windows. It has a tall rectangular shape, with the front facing south on the narrow side. The roof is tiled and half-hipped at the rear, with brick dentil eaves. The walls are made of red brick in Flemish bond, and the building has a steep crow-stepped gable. The openings are rubbed cambered with flat extrados, and the front is covered in cement. The long sides of the building include blue headers. The front section serves as a residential area and is connected to a later outshot on the west side, while the rear section still houses the wooden machinery and other equipment. At the north end, there is a deep water channel made of brickwork, which is fed by underground channels and likely roofed; this area was the wheel house and retains the outer bearing remains.
