Description

Burghclere Cottage is a small timber-framed house dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It has one storey and an attic, featuring irregular window arrangements. The roof is tiled and includes two dormers with cills at eaves level. The frame is exposed on three sides, with infilling of brick and some rendering. The base wall on the deeper west side is made of brick and some stone rubble, while the other walls are constructed of red brickwork in Flemish bond. The windows are casements, and there is a boarded door set in a solid frame.
