Description

Frenches Lodge is a house that dates from the 17th century, with early 19th-century and recent alterations. It has one storey and an attic, as well as two storeys. The building consists of sections from different periods, with the middle section featuring exposed timber-framing and rendered infill. The outer parts are constructed with flint panels and red brick quoins and bands. The roof is thatched and has two levels, with eyebrow dormers on the lower level, which extends on posts to create an open porch. The windows are casements, and there is a boarded door set in a solid frame. A modern rear extension has been added in a later style.
