Description
Smannell and Enham Church of England Primary School is a primary school built in the mid-19th century, likely designed by architect William White, who also designed the nearby church in Andover. The school features a combination of flint and brick construction with a tiled roof. The front is symmetrical, showcasing two tall windows flanking a central porch, which is topped with gablets above the windows and a gable over the porch. The flint walls are accented with brick quoins, thin bands, stepped verges, a plinth, and Tudor arches that have recessed brick tympana. The windows are casements, and there is a boarded door. The east and west ends of the building have tall gables, each containing a large window set within a Gothic arch. This architectural style is consistent around the building, although the rear is partly obscured by two 20th-century extensions.
