Description

Number 3 on London Road is an 18th-century, two-storey timber-framed house featuring a symmetrical facade with three windows on each floor. The building has a steep slate roof with moulded eaves and three flat-roofed dormers. The walls are covered in stucco, and there are slightly projecting shallow angular two-storey bays on each side, along with a plinth. The upper windows are casements with a cambered top, while the ground floor has sash windows. The entrance boasts a fine doorcase with an entablature that is broken forward above curved brackets, and it includes a fluted frieze with a circular motif at the center. On the west gable, the timber frame is exposed with rendered infill.
