Description

Church Lane Lodge is a single-storey Gothic-Orne cottage built in 1857, located in Highclere Park. The cottage features a symmetrical front facing south, with a gabled porch that has a pointed-arched entrance flanked by a window on each side. The roof is covered with scalloped tiles, and the walls are hung with tiles arranged in alternating bands of scallops and hollows, resting on a cement plinth. The windows are mullion and transom casements set within chamfered stone frames, and the entrance includes a four-panelled door topped by a fanlight with pointed lights.
