Description
Malthouse Farmhouse is a house dating from the 18th century to the early 19th century. It features a symmetrical front on the east side, with two storeys and three windows. There is an extension on the north side that is similar in size but lower in height, set back slightly. The house has a tile roof and brick dentil eaves, with blue brickwork in Flemish bond and flush red dressings. Notable architectural details include a first-floor band, cambered openings, and a plinth. The windows are casements. A brick porch with a gable above a 'Tudor' arch encloses a six-panelled door. The extension has a less regular appearance, constructed in Flemish bond with blue headers, cambered openings, and old casements featuring small panes. The south gable is tile-hung, while the north side has a modern brick porch and a single-storeyed service wing extending from its west side, made of brick with a tile roof.
