Description
Ecchinswell House is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys tall. The short west front features one window on the ground floor and one on the first floor, topped by a hipped tile roof with brick dentil eaves and a gable above the slightly projecting centrepiece. The walls are made of red brick in Flemish bond with blue headers and have rubbed flat arches. The windows are sashes set in exposed frames. A later addition is a wide porch with stepped coping and a four-centred arch, which now serves as a window instead of a doorway.
The longer north elevation has four windows and gables on each side, with red brick walling in English bond, rubbed flat arches, and a plinth. The windows here are also sashes. There is an Ionic doorcase with a decorated pulvinated frieze and a six-panelled door. The south elevation has been rendered and features side gables with less regular fenestration, mostly consisting of casements. The chimneys have grouped flues.
