Description

Kisbys’ Cottage is a small house dating from the 16th century, with alterations in the early 19th century and the 20th century. Originally a single-story building, it was later raised with framing added above the older section and extended to the south. It has an irregular arrangement of windows. The roof is thatched and half-hipped. The timber frame is exposed with painted brick infill, and the south side is built of painted brickwork in English bond. The windows are casements with leaded lights. A plain door is situated beneath a thatched canopy supported by a single pole. A modern boarded outshot is present.
